The University of Rhode Island offers more than 80 majors across eight degree-granting colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration (AACSB accredited), Engineering (with ABET accredited programs), Environment and Life Sciences, Education and Professional Studies, Health Sciences, Nursing, and Pharmacy.
Our 14,000+ undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students come from across the United States and, currently, from 72 different countries around the world. Our safe, rural campus is only 10 minutes from the ocean, located on the northeast coast of the U.S. and easily accessible to such major cities as Boston (90 minutes north) and New York City (less than 3 hours south). From campus, students can take public bus transportation to Kingston’s Amtrak train station (5 minutes from campus) and to Rhode Island’s T.F.
